After Everest, the Internet reached Kilimanjaro

According to the media reporter of Fars News Agency, quoted by IPP Media4G internet access is now available on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
Tanzania’s Minister of Communication and Information Technology Nip Nawe said yesterday at the installation ceremony of the Internet service system at the foot of Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of the African continent, that climbers can now easily be connected by phone and internet from the top of this high mountain, wherever they are.
He said that foreign tourists who come to climb this peak can communicate with all parts of the world and these facilities can meet the daily internet needs of 800 to 1000 people.
Mount Kilimanjaro attracts fifty thousand climbers every year. The Tanzanian government has promised that the internet will be available on this 5900-meter peak in early autumn, and the climbers will be able to benefit from internet and mobile phone services.
Two years ago, a Chinese company installed a mast and enabled access to the Internet at an altitude of almost 9,000 meters on Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.
Connecting to the Internet will increase the safety of mountaineers and will cause a significant increase in the number of tourists and mountaineers, which will lead to the development of tourism in this African country.
