Danesh Aqbashavi’s film entered the Callowayvari festival

According to Fars news agency, the latest movie “Zapata” by Danesh Aqbashavi was selected to be screened at the 57th Karlovy Vary Film Festival.

“Zapata” in his first international appearance in “Another Birthday”; “Iranian cinema here and now” will be screened at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. This part of the festival is dedicated to independent, poetic and progressive films of Iranian cinema.

“Zapata” is a social drama that was made in the manner of maquiomentary (realistic documentary) with mobile cameras, GoPro and VHS in the style of Roger Corman’s works.

The story of the film is about a young boy and girl who decide to make a film about their lives during the Corona epidemic due to lack of money, but very soon the gangsters open their eyes to their life and film.

“Zapata” is considered Danesh Aqbashavi’s third film after “Taj Mahal” and an episode of the film “Hihat” and has been screened in Iran so far.
