Fars News Agency – Department of Art and Media: Hamshahri Institute, in its recent management period, witnessed the cancellation of the outsourcing contract of the magazine collection and its return to Hamshahri Institute as before. Then a plan was made to convert these magazines into “book of magazines” so that these magazines could be revived again after a relatively long break in the outsourcing period. In the recent period, several brands of Hamshahri magazines such as Hamshahri 24, Tamashagher, Sarzemen Man, Family, Sarnakh, Aye and Khordnameh have been published in the new “book-magazine” format.

On Wednesday, June 10th, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (peace be upon him), the revival ceremony of Hamshahri magazines was held in the presence of Mohammad Reza Zairi, Mohsen Mahdian, Daniyal Memar, Mohammad Quchani and the editors of the magazines in the meeting hall of Hamshahri Institute. In this ceremony, a round table on revitalization of magazines and written publications was also held with the presence of Mohammad Reza Zairi, Director of Khime Magazine, Mohammad Quchani, Director of New Awareness Magazine, and Daniyal Memar, Editor of Hemshahri Newspaper.

In this meeting, Daniyal Memar, the editor of Hamshahri newspaper, said about the new round of Hamshahri magazines: When the discussion of magazines started, meetings were held with former managers, and the first question was, does anyone still buy magazines? Statistics and figures also showed something like this, and it was confirmed in surveys that people get only one percent of their information from written publications. The process of written publications and the audience is a two-way relationship. It seems that the reason why people rejected the print media is because the different spectrums were not taken into account and this caused the people to reject the print media. Both publications were burned and valuable human resources stopped working with Hamshahri Institute.

Contrary to the existing and common notion that people no longer show interest in paper publications, the experience of these few issues of 24 has proved to us that the audience, especially in the cities, still welcomes paper publications.

All of us have unforgettable memories from the newspapers of the same city, but it is impossible to do media work without being up-to-date. The fact is that the publication of local publications in the style of the nineties, not that it is not possible, but that it lacks the necessary influence. We do not work in a vacuum. Contrary to the existing and common notion that people no longer show interest in paper publications, the experience of these few issues of 24 has proved to us that the audience, especially in the cities, still welcomes paper publications.
