1400 buses will be added to the city fleet

According to the social reporter of Fars news agency, Alizadeh, the CEO of the bus unit company, in a press conference with reporters, stated that more than 10 years have passed since the bus fleet was not renewed, and said: “People travel with worn-out fleets and complain about this, and we are also ashamed.” We are people.

Emphasizing that many efforts have been made to make up for the ten-year delays, he said: This year, more than 45% of the municipal budget was allocated to the issue of transportation in order to make up for some of the delays.

He continued: If we want to buy buses from domestic manufacturers, they have not had a production cycle for 10 years or their production is not responsive.

According to him, by the end of 1404, we have to provide 11 thousand buses. Do the manufacturers have the strength and capacity to produce this amount of domestic production? Of course, they produce buses for other cities besides Tehran.

The CEO of Tehran City Bus Unit Company said: During the new management period, we tried to solve the problems. In the previous period, men claimed to leave the city, it will manage itself. So far, we have purchased 385 buses and minibuses, but it is not enough for this population, which has more than 10 million traffic during office hours.

He further said that the purchase of 3,000 buses and minibuses has been concluded. It requires a budget of 28 thousand billion tomans, which is unprecedented in the history of urban management. Our approved budget in this field is 7,100 billion tomans, but with the action of Jihad Tehran and the Shura, the contract for 3,000 buses has been closed, and 1,400 buses will be added to the city fleet by the end of this year, and the rest will arrive by the end of September next year. lines so that we can compensate some of the delays and omissions of managers.

Alizadeh pointed to the electrification of the bus fleet and said: “A contract for the purchase of 1,000 9 and 12-meter buses has been signed, and by the end of the year, 300 electric buses will be delivered to the company and the rest will enter the lines next year.”

The CEO of Tehran City Bus Unit mentioned the issue of veterans and disabled fleet and said: 20 vans were purchased for veterans and disabled and this year we added 40 vans and we have plans in this field.

He pointed to the issue of air conditioners in buses and said: Some buses are 15 years old and do not have air conditioners at all, and we are ashamed of the people, why no measures have been taken in these 15 years. In the last month and a half, about 95% of BART buses’ air conditioners have been activated, although the problem of heating and cooling will be solved by renewing the fleet.

Alizadeh further stated that the contract for 500 double-cabin buses is being concluded with a domestic manufacturer and said: “Waverhall reconstruction is on the agenda, but the companies that do this work are not as big as the fingers of both hands.” These companies are limited and have low capacity.

Regarding the engineering and handover of bus lines, he said: From the beginning of the line engineering project, we started by moving some lines that had few passengers, and we are handing over 696 buses and minibuses to the private sector, and we are trying to break the monopoly of limited companies in Let’s break down the issue of bus overhaul and purchase.

According to Alizadeh, we invite all the companies involved in overhauling, buying parts, bus companies and minibus companies to announce their readiness to work in a single company and we are ready to cooperate.

He added: 16 private companies are active in the single company, which are rated, and these companies have been cooperating with us for more than 15 years, and we are considering handing over 696 buses and minibuses to private companies. We have received a fee for the transfers and we will spend this fee again in order to buy the bus.

In response to a journalist’s question about the status of ticket cards, he said: A company had been supporting bus and metro ticket cards for 10 years, and now, after 10 years, the deputy transport department has bravely disrupted this space and is concluding a contract. We are with another collection, and be careful that these card reader devices were offline before, but now they will be online by relying on new technology, and the initial cost is 20 billion tomans, and they are in B lines. It is RT and then the normal lines will also have this technology.

Alizadeh said about the bus operations in Arbaeen: According to the notification of the Ministry of Interior, buses are supposed to provide service at the borders of Chadaba, Mehran, Khosravi and Shalamcheh in Iraqi territory.

He continued: With the help of the municipalities of Karaj, Shiraz, Mashhad and Tehran, 750 buses are currently transporting pilgrims from the borders of Iran to the first nearby city in Iraq.

The managing director of the bus company said regarding the import of buses: “For now, we have not reached a conclusion with any company to import buses, but we are in the process of negotiations.”

He stated that the 3,000 buses I mentioned are minus the buses of the Ministry of Interior and that if the buses of the Ministry of Interior also come, the number of new buses will reach 3,900.

Alizadeh said: “I apologize to the people that sometimes they are delayed for 30 minutes at the stations, but the number of buses is so small that the distances are increasing, and we had such a shortage of 4 buses that we had 32 new buses without license plates. We entered the fleet.

In response to a Fars reporter’s question about the arrival of metro buses, the CEO of Tehran Bus Company said: “We are studying in this field.”

He continued: 4 three-cabin buses were purchased 6 years ago, but due to technical defects, they are lying dormant; we are trying to renovate these buses with the help of knowledge-based companies and the private sector. Because these buses were new and were purchased from Switzerland, and the company that bought these buses promised to launch these buses by the end of October.
