7 active nano startups were introduced to investors

According to the IRNA Science and Education Reporter, the Special Staff for Nanotechnology Development, in order to help finance a number of active startups in the field of nanotechnology, today, Sunday, held an event to present these startups to potential investors and users in person and online.

In this event, seven nanotechnology startups will present their activities and products to investors. The main technologists of the active teams in this event are the doctoral graduates of the top 200 universities in the world who have returned to Iran in the framework of a cooperation program with Iranian specialists and entrepreneurs abroad and have started to develop their products.

Super waterproof cover

Polyurethane super-waterproof coatings are one of the products offered by Nano Coating Startup.

The products produced by this startup are various formulations of waterproof polyurethane coatings. Due to their easy cleaning properties (with a contact angle of water with a surface above 4 degrees), these coatings completely remove water and, compared to commercial polyurethane coatings, absorb water up to 3% and the chlorine ion penetration rate to a minimum. Reaches a possible value, which also helps reduce corrosion.

The mentioned coatings consist of two main parts (polyol) and hardener (polyisocyanate) which must be mixed properly before applying on the surface.

Different grades of the company’s products are used in various fields such as undercarriage (heavy / light / mining), anti-moss coating for fish ponds, anti-corrosion coating in petrochemical industry, waterproof protective cover for wooden doors and anti-corrosion coating in paper industry.

Agricultural and fish ponds, under heavy machinery, riding in wet and off-road areas, this product is used in concrete structures in the electricity network and petrochemical industry.

Amir Hossein Seyed Mehdi, a member of this startup, said: 1.8 billion tomans of capital is needed for the development of equipment and marketing and the cost of human resources for this knowledge-based product.

Smart electronic tag

Cool Tag is a product of Amin Farapayesh startup, the second startup presented in this event to attract capital. Cool Tag product is a smart electronic tag that is used to monitor and monitor the temperature and environmental conditions of products.

This is done by an integrated IoT hardware and software system, which is used to monitor environmental conditions and keep products in the cold chain.

These tags record the output of the product from the desired temperature range and provide a complete report on the temperature conditions of the product in the required time period. Therefore, temperature-sensitive shipments are monitored during transportation and storage in the warehouse, with the ability to centrally control and provide spatial data and storage conditions.

In these products, nanotechnology is used in the field of sensors and increasing the flexibility of packaging. This product is being used this year for intelligent monitoring of the transfer of 20,000 cord blood units from 8 centers across the country to the “Royan cord blood bank”.

Also, in the validation of the first and second phases of corona treatment with lung mesenchymal cells in the “Cell Tech Pharmed” complex, it has been exploited in April.. This knowledge-based product is used for intelligent monitoring, distribution chain, storage conditions in cold storage and refrigerators and stores, storage and handling of temperature-sensitive liquids, stability and correct operation of production lines.

Zahra Kolahdooz, a member of this startup, needs 10 billion tomans of capital to develop and launch a production line, develop software products, increase specialized human resources, develop the market and advertise.

Peridontitis detection kit

The Periodontitis (Gum Disease) Detection Kit is another product introduced to investors by the global bi-startup.

Periodontitis is one of the most common oral diseases in the country and in the world. More than half of the country’s population suffers from this disease and most are unaware of their disease. The disease can remain dormant for decades and progress without pain or other clinical signs, eventually leading to tooth loss.

It also interacts with diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory failure, and threatens the health of pregnant mothers. A rapid periodontitis diagnosis kit as a new approach can be used to diagnose the disease in less than 3 minutes with only three drops of a sample of saliva and without the need for expertise.

This kit can also be used to monitor the treatment process of the disease. If you become aware of the disease in the early stages, you can refer to a specialist dentist and follow simple tips for easy and effective treatment of the disease and prevent its painful and sometimes irreparable and costly consequences.

Preliminary diagnosis of periodontitis without the need for specialist examination and invasive methods in a short time and at the lowest cost, providing the possibility of monitoring the treatment process is one of the applications of this knowledge-based product.

According to Mohammad Adel Ghias, a member of this startup, it needs 1.6 billion tomans of capital.

Non-invasive wearable glucometer

Non-invasive non-invasive wearable glucometer is another product presented in this event by Royan Part layer. The product in question is a device for detecting blood sugar continuously without the need for blood sampling. Sweat analysis can be analyzed according to the sensor design and the application defined for it. The diagnostic mechanism is based on the activation of the sensor bed and the detection of the signal generated in it. Available technologies are the preparation of the substrate for analyte detection, the polymer structure of the retainer, and the detection and measurement of the signal generated in it.

The target market of this product is type 1 and 2 diabetic patients, people with a predisposition to diabetes, physicians and hospitals. Immediate access of physicians and treatment staff to patient information during hospitalization and after discharge from the hospital is one of the applications of this knowledge-based product.

According to Farhad Larki, a member of this team, 2.5 billion tomans of capital is needed to develop software modules and human resources, etc.

Nanopowder repairing bone defects

Bone impairment nanopowder is another product presented at this investment event. The synthetic bone powder (nano-implant) produced in this startup contains hydroxyapatite crystalline particles that are similar in size, chemistry and morphology to the hydroxyapatite particles in human bone and therefore have a high biocompatibility.

The presence of silica in this structure increases angiogenesis and accelerates ossification and can be used to correct bone defects.

According to Vahideh Nosrati, the target market of this product is the community of dentists and orthopedic specialists. Proper ossification, optimal speed of recovery, unlimited resources, reasonable price and variety in the production of pharmaceutical forms are the advantages of this product.

Antibiotic rapid detection kit in milk

The rapid detection kit of antibiotics in the milk of the startup Fartak Teb is another product that was presented at this event. Rapid detection kits for antibiotics in milk are a rapid way to measure the contamination of milk samples with antibiotics of the tetracycline and beta-lactam groups. آزمایشThis test can be used on site, for daily control or in laboratories to analyze a set of milk samples.

No specialist or laboratory equipment is required to perform this test. In addition to the potential and necessity of using this product in livestock farms, traditional dairy supply stores and milk collection neighborhoods are currently used daily in large quantities in dairies, and if you do not use this Product and the presence of antibiotics in milk, the production process of fermented products faces challenges.

According to Mohaddeseh Haji Abdolvahab, this product is used for rapid detection of antibiotics in milk, and 1.6 billion tomans of capital is needed to develop the market for this product.

High voltage insulator coating reinforced with nanotechnology

Nanotechnology-reinforced high-voltage insulator coating by Zhikan Silicon Polymer Company is the latest product presented at the event to raise capital.

Life in the present century is not possible without electricity and the power transmission network is one of the most important and strategic industries in the country. One of the most important components of this industry is electrical insulators, which are responsible for maintaining power transmission lines. Insulators should be non-conductive, but when exposed to contamination (dust), the surface of the insulator becomes conductive, which causes them to catch fire and break down.

About 2% of blackouts in the world are due to the failure of insulators, and even in Iran due to weather conditions, even more than this amount. If we use the nano-reinforced coating of Zhikan Silicon Polymer Company, the insulators can be secured against these contaminants so that we do not see any blackouts due to the failure of the insulators in the country.

According to Nima Haghshenas, members of this team need 3 billion tomans to develop the market for this product.
