7,000 smuggled ampoules found from “weapon” seller


In an interview with Fars News Agency, Col. Payam Kaviani, the head of the capital’s public security police, announced the arrest of a salesman of weapons and ammunition and said: “In addition to weapons, 7,000 smuggled” Patolan “ampoules were found in the suspect’s hideout.”

Explaining the details of the above news, Col. Kaviani stated: Late last week, we received news about the sale of weapons and ammunition by a person near Khaniabad, and the investigation of the issue was specifically on the agenda of the officers.

He added: “Following the investigation and after receiving a court order, a team of officers from the Capital Public Security Police Operations Center was sent to the scene on the morning of November 20, and they succeeded in arresting the accused in a raid.”

Colonel Kaviani stated: During the inspection of his hideout, the officers discovered a handgun, 53 ammunition and 7,000 ampoules of “Patolan” that had entered the country illegally.

The head of the capital’s public security police stated that the experts estimated the value of the discovered goods at 7 billion rials, noting that the accused was admitted to the prosecutor’s office after pleading guilty.

Efforts to arrest other suspects in the case are still on the police agenda.
