“Abolhassani” became the deputy governor of the Central Bank


According to Monetary News, Asghar Abolhassani Hastiani was appointed Deputy Governor of the Central Bank on the proposal of the Governor of the Central Bank and with the approval of the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Bank.

According to the Central Bank’s public relations report, Abolhassani holds a doctorate in economics, majoring in monetary economics, and has previously served as a member of the Central Bank’s Executive Board and Deputy Minister of Economy, Deputy Minister of Economy for Banking and Insurance, and overseeing the implementation of Article 44 of the Constitution. Member of the Board of Directors of the National Development Fund, Member of the Board of Directors of the International Bank for Islamic Development (IDB), Member of the Board of Directors of Export and Ansar Banks, Member of the Jurisprudential Council of the Central Bank, Member of the Monetary and Credit Sub-Council, Member of the Supreme Insurance Council Keshvar is a member of the Board for Supervision of Deregulation and Facilitation of Licensing, a government representative in the Board of Representatives of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, and a deputy director of Payame Noor University.

Compilation and translation of books on theoretical topics in Islamic economics, interest-free banking models, evaluation of economic plans, reference of the agricultural sector in the Iranian economy and international finance, are among the works of the new Deputy Governor of the Central Bank.

He has also published dozens of scientific and research articles in the fields of macroeconomics, monetary and banking, especially in the field of Islamic economics and banking.
