After Digikala, it is now the turn of two platforms, Taqcheh and Ezki, which have been suspended and unavailable due to the non-observance of hijab by the employees.

Some time ago, we had in the news that the main building of Digikala was sealed by the employees due to non-observance of hijab. After that, it was the turn of Ezki and Taqcheh to become victims of not observing the hijab, and it seems that startups are being closely monitored these days.

The activities of Taqcheh and Ezaki were stopped

“Ezki” is a start-up company that compares and buys insurance online, inquires and calculates prices from all insurance companies with the possibility of buying insurance installments and paying claims online. It has been working in this field for some time.

from when

By publishing pictures of the employees in the internal environment of this company, where they did not observe the hijab, Central Insurance as a supervisory body entered the matter and after examining all aspects of this matter, decided to cancel the license of this company until further notice.

Ezaki claims that the published images are parts of the interior of this company that are not in contact with the clients of this startup and are not among the official positions of the company’s services. Also, this company, as a leading Iranian business, considers itself obliged to comply with the official laws of the country.

Since “Ezki” company is only an intermediary between insured people and insurance companies, there will be no disruption in the insurance provided by this company for customers.

Taqcheh application is unavailable

As one of the most popular book access platforms, Taqcheh is another startup that is experiencing tough times these days. After “Ezki”, a picture of some Taqcheh employees was also published, which resulted in the reaction of the officials due to the non-observance of the hijab. But this was not the end of the work and today the Taqcheh application is unavailable and it seems that it has been filtered.

After the publication of the picture of Taqcheh employees without hijab, some publishers with mainly religious books demanded to stop cooperation with Taqcheh in response to this image. A number of publishers also announced that they will suspend their cooperation with this platform until Taqcheh provides an explanation. The judiciary also got involved and announced that a legal case has been filed against the erring employees of Taqcheh due to non-observance of hijab. Some government institutions, such as Iran Book and Literature House, as well as Farabi Cinema Foundation, also reacted to these events and announced the termination of their cooperation with Taqcheh.

Taqcheh and Ezki

Following these issues, Taqcheh platform explained what happened and announced that this image was taken outside of Taqcheh’s workspace and was not published on any of Taqcheh’s official accounts. Also, while accepting the publishers’ contract cancellation request, the cancellation process is on the agenda.

Suddenly, the niche became unlicensed!

The public relations of the Culture and Art Development Center discussed new aspects of the story today and announced that Taqcheh does not have a license from the Ministry of Guidance, and for this reason, based on the upstream documents and in line with the organization of digital book publishing platforms, the activity of this platform is prevented. The Taqcheh application was also unavailable an hour after this announcement and it seems that it has been filtered. This issue has caused the concern of users who subscribed to this application and bought and kept many books in the library of this application.

Tonight, Taqcheh application sent a notification to its users and wrote:

We were filtered, without warning. Your books and subscription period are preserved and not lost.

Although Taqcheh has assured its users that their subscription purchases and books have remained in place, but currently it is not possible for users to access purchased books that were not downloaded or to refer to Taqcheh Infinite section, and this issue is a source of dissatisfaction. Followed by users. Meanwhile, the filtering and unavailability of Taqcheh is tied to the lack of necessary permits. This platform has been operating for several years without any problems and has cooperated with the Ministry of Guidance, Broadcasting, Tehran Municipality and several other governmental and non-governmental institutions and publishers. He has had many collaborations.
