Amir Abdullahian called Aliyev’s remarks unfortunate

According to Fars News Agency’s Foreign Policy Group, during the presentation of a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to our country, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wished success to the Ambassador during his mission in Tehran and stressed the importance of relations between the two countries. The recent inappropriateness of the border guards of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the drivers of Iranian trucks and the arrest of two of them, expressed dissatisfaction and called the recent negative statements by the Republic of Azerbaijan surprising and unfortunate.

It is worth mentioning that the new ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Alizadeh, met with Amir Abdullahian today (Thursday) and presented him with a copy of his credentials.

Amir Abdullahian considered military exercises by countries inside their territories within the framework of national sovereignty and pointed to the Zionist regime’s movements along the common borders of our country and stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran does not tolerate the presence and activities of the Zionist regime against national security. In this regard, it takes any action that is necessary.

In this meeting, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan called the good and deep relations of his country with the Islamic Republic of Iran as a neighboring and dear country important for the Republic of Azerbaijan and expressed hope that the recent events will be resolved soon through consultations between the two countries. .

According to Fars, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, while expressing surprise at Aliyev’s remarks, stated: “We do not tolerate the presence of the Zionist regime, however, near our borders.” (Read here)
