Anwar Gargash, the UAE government’s foreign affairs adviser, expressed optimism about engaging with Iran.

“The Turks have a positive view of what we are telling them,” Anwar Gargash, the UAE government’s diplomatic adviser, told a news conference on the UAE’s relations with other countries, Sputnik reported, quoting ISNA.

Do I have a positive opinion about the interaction with Iran? Yes I have. Am I optimistic that Iran will change its regional policy? I must say that I am more realistic in this regard, but I bet that Iran is also concerned about the vacuum (in the region) and the escalation of tension.

Earlier, it was reported that, given the normalization of Israeli relations with some countries, including the UAE, the head of the Israeli diplomatic mission in the UAE, Ethan Naieh, stressed that Iran’s threats were not the reason for the so-called “Ibrahim agreement” between the UAE and the country. .

He said that Israel and the UAE have many common interests and are not limited to the Iranian threat.

Naieh also said that Iran’s behavior, especially the recent action in the Oman Sea, raised concerns of both the Emirati and Israeli sides.
