Announce devices that will soon receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition


Xiaomi has released a new list of handsets that will receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition UI update by the end of this year.

Currently, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is the latest version of Xiaomi’s Android-based user interface. Xiaomi unveiled the “Mix 4” and “Pad 5” series in August alongside the MIUI tablet version, and has since made it available to eligible devices. Now, three months after its introduction, the Chinese tech giant has listed other devices that will receive the new version of MIUI.

As one of the senior executives of Xiaomi explains, More than 25 new devices will use MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, including the following models:

  • Redmi 9
  • Redmi 10X 4G
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro
  • Redmi K30 Ultra
  • Redmi 10X 5G
  • Redmi 10X Pro 5G
  • Redmi Note 11 5G
  • Xiaomi Pad 5
  • Redmi K30 5G
  • Redmi K30i 5G
  • Redmi K30
  • Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G
  • Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro
  • May CC9 Pro
  • May 11 Youth Edition
  • Redmi K40 Gaming Edition
  • Redmi K20 Pro
  • May 9
  • May 9 Pro
  • Redmi Note 8 Pro
  • May CC9
  • May 9 SE
  • Mi CC9 Meitu Customized Edition

The CEO also states that the release of updates for the phones and tablets listed above will be completed by the end of December 2021. Given that the announced time is for China, its supply to other countries of the world may need more time.

Xiaomi is also expected to unveil MIUI 13 before the end of this year. For this reason, the Chinese tech giant will start releasing the next version of its operating system as soon as it makes the current version available to its handsets.
