Atrium 2.0; One arrow and three badges!

Atrium 2.0 has raised a lot of hopes and expectations. Many argue that changing the Atrium network mechanism from proof-of-work to proof-of-stock can not only put an end to criticism of the damaging environmental effects of digital currency mining; Rather, it will lead to further transformation and development of the Chinese blockchain. This change will be much more efficient, scalable and safer.

However, there are many magnifications about atrium enhancement. Many refer to it as a transformational idea that will change the world and create a storm in the market. Now the question arises: “Can Atrium 2.0 make all these promises come true?”

Atrium 2.0 is still evolving. Although the exact time for the full implementation of this major update has not been announced, several steps have already been taken in the process, raising hopes that it will be completed as soon as possible.

Phase zero of this upgrade, in which staking was possible, was well received by investors. Next, the London Hardfork took place on August 50, 2021 (August 14, 1400) and caused a great deal of controversy. Some believe that this hardfork has not been very effective and successful in its main goal, which is to predict and accept Atrium fees.

As we mentioned, while there are high expectations for Atrium 2.0, there are still many ambiguities about the success of this chain, and it is not possible to comment on it explicitly until this update is completed.

In this article, one of Ehsan Yazdanparast’s notes about Atrium 2.0 and its features in website We read the medium. He believes Atrium 2.0 could become the ideal Chinese block; Of course, the theologian also gives reasons for this claim. So join us in reading this note and examining the reasons given.

Scalability triangle in the Chinese block

If you follow the news and activities of the digital currency market, after a while you will find that people have different views about the dimensions and use of different coins and tokens. Smart Contracts, Defay, Unparalleled Token (NFT), Security, Token Burning, Transaction Time, Transaction Fee, Decentralization, and Proof of Stock Exchanges are topics that are discussed about each of the digital currencies.

Now you know what the interesting thing is? Surprisingly, there does not seem to be a single coin that excels in all areas. Some coins have better transaction time and fees, while others perform better in decentralization. Some provide more security and some are better for users. At least for now, no Quinn is perfect.

The question may arise for you, when will we have the ideal Kevin? The answer is: when Atrium 2.0 arrives. This may be an exaggeration; But I will explain my reasons in the following.

Imagine you have opened a bank account. It does not matter what happens in the world outside the bank; Because you are looking to keep your money in a safe place and protect your capital. On the one hand, you do not want anyone to touch your money, and on the other hand, you want to shop safely with your money and make financial transactions.

In the next step, you want the bank to show the best transaction performance and at the same time, you will pay the lowest fee and your transaction will be done in the shortest time. For example, you want to send $ 200 from a bank in the US to a friend in China. You will feel uncomfortable that your friend will receive this amount a week later and at the same time you will have to pay a fee of $ 20 for this transfer.

Definitely, the fewer intermediaries or institutions, the better for you. In all these stages you want to be the legal owner of your money and you do not want to share your property with a person or an institution. If you want to transfer money from bank “A” to bank “B” and know that banks “C”, “D” and “E” are also involved in this transaction, you will feel bad.

You may think that these professions belong to an imaginary world. Of course you are quite right; Because in the real world, there is no bank that will meet your needs! We all deal with highly centralized and framed banks. In these financial centers, transaction fees are high and it may take days or maybe weeks for a transaction to be completed. In addition, unfortunately, many of us are the target of hacking, fraud and fraud on a daily basis. For this reason, we need the Chinese bloc and, in particular, digital currencies.

Blockchains help us come up with scalable, secure, and decentralized solutions; Of course, it is better to say that China Blockchain technology is trying to make this possible for us. With the advent of the Chinese blockchain, these expectations arise for us:

1. Our capital is safe;
۲. We do not need intermediaries, third parties and institutions;
3. Make our transactions fast and cheap.

The expectations we have set out the framework for the Blockchain Trillema. If we can build a Chinese block that solves all three concerns at the same time, we can claim that our Chinese block is perfect and ideal.

Atrium 2.0 and decentralization

The atrium is one of the decentralized blockchains, with thousands of nodes and minors operating in different geographical areas.

Dispersion of active atrium nodes

Atrium version 2.0 can turn this network into a Yield-Generating Asset; Therefore, this will be accompanied by the exponential growth of active nodes in this network. Atrium 2.0 requires at least 16,384 validators to make this feature more decentralized and secure.

Atrium 2.0 and security

Atrium 1.0 currently uses the Evidence Consensus (PoW) mechanism; While in Atrium 2.0 this mechanism is replaced by stock proof (PoS). PoS is a mechanism that helps to make this network more secure. The Atrium Development Team describes the features of Atrium 2.0 in the following:

Think of Atrium 2.0 as a general commodity that improves the condition of the atrium and, as a result, Ether You get more. In fact, by activating ether, you activate the validation software. As a validator, you can process transactions and create new blocks in the chain. Sharing and becoming a validator is easier than the process of extracting and securing a network. We hope that this change will help make Atrium’s network even more secure in the long run. The more people involved in the network, the more decentralized and secure the network will be against attacks.

Atrium 2.0 and scalability

Introducing Sharding mechanisms, Atrium 2.0 focuses on resolving issues related to fees and transaction times. With this upgrade and use of network sharing, Atrium can process thousands of transactions in a shorter time.

Sharding is an important part of this upgrade. Sharding simply means separating or segmenting large chains into smaller chains; A process that distributes workload across multiple validators.

Workload distribution significantly improves the scalability problem. In addition, the number of transactions that can be managed simultaneously increases; As a result, network congestion is prevented and, consequently, fees are reduced.

Concluding remarks

Solving the triple blockade of China is a big step. The first Chinese block to solve these problems will grow exponentially. It should be noted that a completely decentralized, scalable and secure China bloc will definitely bring more demand and acceptance. Atrium 2.0 is believed to solve these problems.

Once Atrium 2.0 is fully implemented, we expect to see the following changes:

  • Validators lead to more decentralization of the network.
  • Consensus-proof mechanisms provide more security for the network.
  • Sharding will help to increase scalability, reduce commission rates and increase the number of transactions.

All of the topics covered in this article theoretically and on paper suggest that the Atrium network has become an ideal Chinese block; But until a final update is made, it is not possible to give a definitive theoretical approach to the success of this change; A change that will have many ups and downs in its path.
