Austrian Foreign Minister: The performance of the Iranian team in the Vienna talks is extraordinary

“I am very hopeful that the parties will reach an agreement in Vienna, we believe that there will be no agreement except by reaching a joint agreement,” Alexander Schallenberg told IRNA today during a joint news conference with Pakistani Foreign Minister in Islamabad, IRNA reported on Thursday. It does not work, it may not be a perfect agreement, but we need it.

Schallenberg stressed: The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States are very eager and sincere in trying to reach an agreement.

Referring to his separate meetings with Ali Bagheri, our country’s chief negotiator in Vienna, he added: “I had good meetings with Bagheri and I emphasize that the work of the Iranian team is extraordinary.”

Referring to Dr. Amir Abdullahian’s recent visit to Russia, the Austrian Foreign Minister added: “The visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Moscow is considered useful in facilitating the latest points raised by Moscow.”

Schellenberg said: “In negotiations and even when these talks are in the form of international interactions, we see the process being easy in the early stages, but as we get closer to the final stages, we see things getting harder in return.

“Austria will make every effort to facilitate an agreement in Vienna,” he said. We will do everything in our power to make them successful because we want to see good news from the Middle East.

According to the report, the Pakistani Foreign Minister also said in a press conference with his Austrian counterpart that the two sides discussed the latest developments in the region, Afghanistan, Ukraine and the most important international issues.

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg arrived in Islamabad today (Thursday) for a three-day official visit.

A delegation of economic and trade officials from key public and private sectors will accompany Austrian Schallenberg on his visit to Pakistan, and the largest trade conference of the two countries will be held during the visit.
