Bagheri: Negotiating to achieve a guarantee of not violating an agreement again

Bagheri, who has traveled to Europe as Iran’s chief negotiator to pave the way for the continuation of the Vienna talks, said: “One of the issues on the agenda is to find guarantees that will prevent the recurrence of a gross violation of an international agreement.”

Referring to the consequences of Washington’s withdrawal from the UN Security Council, he noted that the Americans did not only harm the Islamic Republic by violating UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and imposing sanctions on Iran, but also other UN Security Council member states because they had economic relations with Iran. The Americans also inflicted damage on other countries that had or wanted to do business with Iran. It also damages an international agreement because every international agreement has an international legal identity.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister in an interview with News Network QuestionHe reiterated that the main purpose of these talks, in the view of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is to lift the illegal sanctions imposed by the US government on the Iranian people for gross violations of UNHCR and Resolution 2231. We completed the nuclear negotiations in 2015, which resulted in the BRICS agreement. By withdrawing from the BRICS, the Americans violated both the agreement and Resolution 2231, and subsequently imposed previous and new sanctions.

He stressed that the return of the United States from these sanctions is the main goal of future negotiations. Iran’s nuclear actions were in response to US actions to impose illegal sanctions on Iran within the framework of the Borjam agreement. The US action was against international law and against Borjam and Resolution 2231, but Iran’s action was based on the text of Borjam, so first a decision must be made to lift the illegal sanctions.

Regarding his talks with European troika officials, Bagheri said: “I had very good talks with the political officials of France, Germany and Britain in the last three days.” The conversations, while frank and serious, were constructive and forward-looking. We expressed our views very clearly on the necessary frameworks for the forthcoming talks with them, and we shared our views and expressed our expectations for future talks.

The senior Iranian diplomat, who is currently in London, said: “Today I met with a number of British Foreign Office officials to discuss bilateral relations with the UK, regional issues as well as future negotiations. In fact, my assessment of these talks is positive, but it does not mean that we did not disagree or disagree with each other, but we also aligned and converged on many issues, and the important point was to express the views of the parties in a face-to-face meeting. شد. I think it has been a long time since the Foreign Ministry officials of the two countries had such comprehensive talks.

He added: “The history of Iran-Britain relations is a history full of ups and downs, but it has a connection.” These relations show the will of both parties to have serious and effective relations with each other.

The political deputy of the country’s diplomatic service also stated about Iran’s regional policy: “Our view has always been a stabilizing view in the region and we have always supported and cooperated with the actors who had the same stabilizing and security approach.” Our view is that whenever foreigners somehow enter the region or infiltrate the region because they pursue their own interests and policies, their entry and presence will be against the security and stability of the region. The countries of the region, even if they have differences, have the authority to negotiate with each other to resolve their differences with each other.

Considering that Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian recently congratulated Daniel Ortega on his victory in the Nicaraguan presidential election, Bagheri said in response to Iran’s cooperation with anti-imperialist countries: “What is important for the Islamic Republic of Iran in the foreign arena?” It is interaction with actors who can establish security and stability in their area and region, and in fact, these actors are based on the votes and views of their people. We believe that democracy and security and stability are closely linked.

Regarding the role of Iran’s policies in the international arena Question He said: “Tehran, as an independent actor that has always sought security and stability in the region, has the view that it can provide and protect the rights and interests of its people in various fields. We have always proved during the past that Our people and the provision of our national interests have always been in the direction of stability and security in the region. Iran has always been a responsible actor on the international stage, even when some other actors fulfilled their responsibilities, but Iran has never relinquished its international responsibilities, and I think a responsible actor on the international stage is a one-sided trustworthy and trustworthy player for other actors. And this can form the basis for a lasting relationship.

In the end, Bagheri emphasized on supporting the countries of the region and said: Iran always has a positive and positive view of the phenomena and is on the good side in regional and international confrontations. We were and are in the region in Iraq and Syria against the terrorists and alongside the people and the legitimate government of these countries. We are in Palestine with the Palestinian people and against the occupiers, and in Yemen we are with the oppressed people of Yemen and against the aggressors, and this is the view that can bring security and stability to the region.
