Bank deposits reached more than 4300 thousand billion tomans

According to the Central Bank’s report on the total balance of deposits and Rial and foreign currency facilities of banks and credit institutions by province at the end of June this year, the total balance of deposits has reached 4314 thousand and 900 billion tomans, which compared to the same period last year and end Last year, it showed an increase of 47.1 and 11.3 percent.
Also, the highest amount of deposits is related to Tehran province with a balance of 2379 thousand and 600 billion tomans and the lowest amount is related to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces is equal to 10 thousand and 400 billion tomans.

In addition, the total balance of facilities at this time is 3174 thousand and 600 billion tomans, which compared to the same period last year and the end of last year has increased by 53.8 and 13.7 percent.

According to this report, the highest amount of facilities is related to Tehran province with a balance of 2086 thousand and 800 billion Tomans and the lowest amount is related to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces equivalent to 9800 billion Tomans.

The ratio of facilities to deposits after deduction of legal deposit is 81.5%, which shows an increase of 3.7 and 1.3 percentage points, respectively, compared to the same period of the previous year and the end of the previous year, which is 95.8% in Tehran province. Percentage and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces is 105.8%.

In this report, one of the important reasons for the high number of facilities and deposits in Tehran province is the establishment of headquarters of many companies and manufacturing institutions in other provinces in Tehran province and most of their banking activities are carried out through branches of banks and credit institutions in Tehran province.
