Beijing warned Ukraine

According to the online economy report, quoted by Isna, informed Ukrainian sources say that this warning was given last month during the meeting of the Chinese ambassador to Ukraine with the government officials of this country.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry, the Chinese Embassy in Kyiv and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry have not yet responded to requests for comment, Reuters reported.

Beijing has close relations with Moscow and so far has not criticized Russia’s military operations, but it always emphasizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries and has also offered mediation to resolve this conflict.

Ukraine has listed 48 companies globally, including 14 Chinese companies, as “international war sponsors” and claims their business activities “indirectly contribute to Russia’s war effort.”

One of the Ukrainian sources said: The Chinese ambassador noted that this situation can have a negative impact on our (China-Ukraine) relations. Of course, China has not set any conditions yet, but it has simply shown its position.

Another of these Ukrainian sources added: Beijing can relate this issue to the purchase of Ukrainian grain by China.

It is important to note that before the start of the Russia-Ukraine war on February 24, 2022, China was Ukraine’s largest trading partner and is still an important consumer of Ukraine’s grain, sunflower oil, and iron ore.
