According to Fars News Agency, the documentary “Lasting Hands” is dedicated to the life of Abbas Ebadi, one of the pioneers of pottery.

Abbas Ebadi was born in 1330 in Natanz to an artist family with a background in pottery dating back to the Qajar period. From his childhood, he followed his ancestral art with a student with his father, the late Professor Mohammad Ebadi.

After a break in his work with the death of his father in 1979. They re-established the workshop they had inherited from four generations before them, and now they themselves carry out all 25 stages of production of stone pottery painted under glaze, which is very complex, and decorate them with Islamic motifs. Natanz has a 6,000-year history of pottery and for centuries has been the birthplace of medieval pottery with turquoise glazes, underglaze, glazing and enamel, and has bred the most master tile makers for Safavid Isfahan. Until a few decades ago, there were more than thirty thriving small and large workshops in Natanz and it was one of the centers for manufacturing and exporting all kinds of ceramic parts, but today only one workshop from the series of traditional ceramics remains, which is a worship workshop.

The documentary series “The Story of the Heart” is a work of the Culture and Thought Group of the Chahar Sima Network, which is dedicated to a distinguished professor in the field of literature, culture and art every Monday at 9 pm. Also, this program will be rebroadcast on Tuesday around 2:00 PM and on Friday around 12:00 PM on the same network.
