According to IRNA, Chinese Ambassador Chang Hua made the remarks after talking to Amir Sedighi, President of the Wushu Federation of Iran, and visiting the site of the first National Wushu Festival, which was held at the Grand Bazaar Complex in Iran. China has a long history and it is a precious cultural heritage that has been gradually expanded by the Chinese people and is unique in content. Wushu originated in China and belongs to the world, and Iran is interested in traditional Chinese culture, especially Chinese wushu.
“China and Iran both have ancient civilizations and a long history of friendly exchanges,” said the ambassador. In recent years, wushu has flourished in Iran and this martial sport is very popular among the elderly, middle-aged and young people in Iran. Many Iranian martial arts enthusiasts have come to China to study and practice, and Iranian athletes have achieved good results in various international martial arts competitions.
He also said that the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics were a success. China has lived up to its commitment to hosting the Olympics, presenting the world with a low-cost, safe and amazing Olympics that has been acclaimed by the international community. Following the successful hosting of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics, Hangzhou, China will host the 19th Asian Games in September 1401, with Wushu as one of the major disciplines.

It will also be a messenger of good wishes and the creation of a society with a common future for humanity. Iran is sending a huge convoy to attend the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Chang Hua expressed hope that the holding of the first national wushu festival will make the Iranian people more familiar and interested in this sport, raise the level of Iranian wushu competitions, prepare for the Asian Games and promote Chinese and Iranian culture, and communicate and work tirelessly.
