CIA Director: It is still possible to return to Burjam

“There is a big question mark about how serious the new Iranian government is in this regard,” he was quoted as saying by Sputnik.

He added: “This desire still exists and President Biden has made it clear that this can be done.

Iran complied with all of its commitments under the agreement a year after the US withdrawal from the Security Council, giving European countries that promised to make up for the consequences of Washington’s withdrawal from the agreement a chance to work to deliver on that promise.

But a year after the US withdrew from Borjam, Tehran announced that it would reduce its obligations under Borjam in a few steps, given that European countries had not fulfilled their promises. The reduction of Iran’s obligations was based on the provisions of the Borjam nuclear agreement.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a responsible country, has repeatedly stated that it will return to fulfilling its obligations in the UN Security Council if all US sanctions are lifted in a verifiable manner.

What is important for Iran is the full and immediate revival of Borjam, and in this regard, the lifting of the oppressive sanctions and the fulfillment of Borjam’s commitments by the United States and Europe is the first step in starting negotiations.
