Doctors are not motivated to work in forensic medicine


According to Fars News Agency, Abbas Masjedi, the head of the country’s forensic medicine organization, met with members of the Judiciary and Legal Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly on Tuesday, December 14th, in order to report and express the organization’s problems and difficulties.

In this meeting, Masjidi presented a report on the performance, duties and extensive services of the organization in technical and specialized fields, pointing to some problems and challenges of the organization such as lack of manpower, resources and credits and physical space.

Emphasizing the difficulty of working in forensic medicine and the lack of motivation of doctors to work in this organization, he presented solutions and suggestions to get out of the current problems of forensic medicine and called on MPs to pay more attention to the problems of this organization and allocate the necessary funds. To meet these challenges.

Members of the Parliamentary Judiciary and Legal Commission also acknowledged the important role of forensic medicine in determining the tasks of court cases and acknowledging the shortcomings and challenges of this organization, and promised to help and cooperate in solving its problems.

It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Reza Haj Manouchehri, Deputy Director of Management Development and Support, Ali Hadizadegan, Director General of Information Technology and Administrative Transformation, and Qassem Soleimani, the organization’s liaison with the Islamic Consultative Assembly, accompanied the head of the organization.
