Ecotourism, a new economy based on history and culture

They take us back to the time of our fathers, to houses where the architectural appearance of the city has not yet penetrated, to the low ceilings and nesting rooms that brought its inhabitants closer together every day, to the flowers and trees that became the old neighbors of these houses and to the nightingales whose songs Home.

For some time now, living in these houses has become not only a dream but also a reality, we travel to eco-tourism houses, houses that provide new economic conditions in the context of history and culture.

Ecotourism resorts have been established for several years in villages around large cities with historical and natural monuments, and are supported by the authorities. On the other hand, the problems of urbanization and nature-friendly nature draw man to the lap of nature and quiet areas; Therefore, this factor is a good opportunity to provide the means of rural development with tourism and its services.

Kerman province, with its innumerable capacities in the field of eco-tourism resorts, can move its economic cycles faster in the field of tourism industry. Currently, there are about 335 ecotourism resorts in the province, and here we have talked to a number of managers of these resorts to get acquainted with the problems and benefits of setting up ecotourism resorts.

Farahnaz Ismailian, director of the Nebka Shahdad Ecotourism Resort, described the launch of ecotourism resorts as a form of entrepreneurship, saying: “Ecotourism helps to better understand the local and indigenous culture of the place where they are established.”

“Ecotourism resorts directly and indirectly provide employment for at least 10 people,” he said. And… becomes; “So eco-lodges will improve the economic situation in the area.”

Nebka Shahdad, director of eco-lodges, referred to the eco-lodge management course courses provided by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, adding: “It will become a residence.”

He stressed the need for eco-tourism resort managers to master the nature, environment, customs and culture of the area as much as possible, adding: “One of the international standards for any resort is to pay attention to environmental issues, so every resort should “It can manage waste and prevent energy and water wastage.”

The need to develop a schedule for tourists

He cited the increase in the number of accommodations and the seasonality of their travelers as the most important challenges for eco-lodges, saying: “In some seasons the capacity of the accommodations is almost full, while in other months of the year they do not have travelers. “In this situation, new jobs must be created for ecotourism owners so that they can earn money through it.”

“We need a schedule for tourists so that they can make good use of the potential of each region, for example, providing day tourism for cold regions and nights for tropical regions,” Ismailian added.

The director of Nebka Shahdad Ecological Residence stressed the need to introduce Kerman province at the national and international levels, adding: “The city of Kerman can show its potential by participating in specialized national and international exhibitions.”

Ecotourism resorts need financial support

“Due to the financial fluctuations of the last few years, the facilities allocated for ecotourism resorts are small and the process of obtaining these facilities is long and difficult,” said Nebka Shahdad, director of the Nebka Shahdad Ecological Resort.

The director of Baba Hesar Mahan Ecotourism Resort, one of the resorts that suffers from financial problems, says about the low level of financial facilities: “Considering that Baba Hesar Ecotourism Resort has been selected as one of the top tourism units in the province, more financial support is needed. has it.”

Regarding financial facilities, Manouchehr Eslami, Deputy Minister of Employment and Entrepreneurship of the General Department of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare of Kerman Province, said: “The rate of facilities provided to eco-tourism resorts located in villages and cities is from internal sources of banks at 10%.”

Hamed Langarizadeh, director of the ecotourism resorts unit of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, says about supporting ecotourism resorts: “Fortunately, many problems of these resorts have been solved by launching a professional community of ecotourism resorts.”

Illegal units are the basis of unfair competition in ecotourism

“Illegal housing is one of the problems that eco-lodges are struggling with these days,” said Baba Hesar, director of eco-lodges. “In order to provide fair competition in the tourism debate, ecotourism resorts and places that have the necessary permits and standards can show their potential.”

Ecotourism houses pave the way for cultural exchanges

There is no doubt that eco-houses are the cultural symbol of an ancient civilization, but it takes a lot of effort to overcome the difficulties in building and equipping these places and its cultural view to overcome its material view, that is, to love its culture and land.

“Ecotourism houses are a historical and cultural symbol of a city and can be a bridge to transmit local culture between tourists and indigenous peoples,” said Melika Rouhifar, director of the Ghandchin Rhine Ecotourism Resort, about the possibility of cultural exchange through ecotourism houses.

Although Kerman province has 335 ecotourism resorts, he added: “In addition to the quantity, the quality of tourism services in these resorts should also increase so that we can be more successful in attracting tourists than before.”

“Providing high quality services in accordance with current world standards is one of our general policies at Qandchin Ecotourism Resort,” continued the director of the Qandchin Ecotourism Resort.

Given that ecotourism resorts today help to improve the economic conditions of society and provide employment and entrepreneurship at different levels of society, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the development of ecotourism and increase their quality in terms of services to witness development.
