End of the second phase of restoration of Amini historical house in Birjand



According to the Aria Heritage Report, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan Province, Alireza Nasrabadi said on Monday, November 15: “The country’s national record has been registered.”

“The renovation of this building was done with the approach of reviving the historic palace, returning to the originality and identity of the market and the prosperity of handicrafts in the city of Birjand,” added the director of the Birjand Historical Texture Base.

Nasrabadi continued: “With this action, more than 40 rooms of the building spaces have been repaired and improved so that artists and handicraftsmen can be settled in it. “In addition to being a historical attraction for tourists and the people, this house can become a cohesive and focused market for the production and supply of handicrafts in the heart of Birjand Bazaar.”

“Restoration operations include strengthening, rebuilding damaged arches, repairing the courtyard facade, landscaping and installing electrical installations,” he said.

Nasrabadi stated: “So far, 10 billion rials have been allocated for the repair and improvement of this work.”
