Extensive changes are coming for WhatsApp iOS

The iOS version of WhatsApp will soon see sweeping and useful changes that allow Apple iPhone users to enjoy WhatsApp with more enjoyment.

Stay tuned for the big changes for the iOS version of WhatsApp, as the app’s developers are experimenting with a redesigned chat list and a clearer user interface. Also, some UI elements will be removed soon.

According to a report published by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp wants to update the chat list page with a clearer design. For example, the WhatsApp team will remove the Broadcast Lists and New Group options from WhatsApp version 22.1.71.

The source also points out that these options have been around in the WhatsApp app for years, but since users can also create new groups by starting a new chat, WhatsApp wants to remove these additional options and replace it with the Broadcast option. The change you can see in the image below.

In subsequent updates, WhatsApp will move the Broadcast option to the top of the user’s contact list, which will have exactly the same functionality as the New Group option in current versions.

WhatsApp iOS version

WhatsApp has been testing a few new features for its app over the past few days. In future updates, the app will also add a profile picture of your contacts to notifications to make it easier to see who sent you the message. With this feature, every time you receive a new message on WhatsApp, you will see the sender’s name along with its profile picture.

This is not the only feature that WhatsApp is working on; WhatsApp also wants to give you the ability to recognize a group. For example, now in the WhatsApp iOS version, if someone responds to your message in a group, you will receive a notification indicating their response. But in the new trial version of WhatsApp, you will notice it even if someone mentions you.
