Fars News Agency photographer shines in the photo of the year of Asia

According to the Fars News Agency from Tabriz, Ali Hamed Haghdoost, a documentary and news photographer for Fars News Agency, won the Excellence Award in the second category of Asia 2022 Pictures of the Year Asia POY Asia.

In this award, participating photographers from all over the Asian continent in two categories of single photos and photo collections in categories such as: Covid 19, Covid video story, cultural mirrors, instant news, traditional and recreational sports, Covid experiences, thematic report video story, portrait, Nature and Environment and Asian Photographer of the Year competed.

The award was modeled on the prestigious International Photo of the Year (poyi) award by the Donald W. Reynolds Institute of Journalism at the University of Missouri Columbia Journalism for Asian Photographers in 2020, and parts of which are currently being finalized.

Ali Hamed Haghdoost, a documentary and news photographer for Fars News Agency in Tabriz, has previously received numerous international and domestic awards, including first place in the UNESCO Festival in Afghanistan, second place in the Nikon Shanghai Biennial of Photography in China and the first Iranian Documentary Photographer of the Year award.
