Five golds waiting for the Iranian national karate team


According to IRNA; The 2021 Asian Karate Championship in all age categories (teenagers, youth, hope and adults) in two categories of kata and committee has started on Saturday, hosted by Almaty, Kazakhstan, and our country’s representatives have gone against their opponents. These battles continue until the first of December.

Today, Tuesday, the preliminary competitions of kata (performance form) and committee (struggle) of the adult category were held, and Iranian karate men and women went on the tatami.

The results of the Iranian representatives are as follows

Men’s kata

The Iranian team with the combination of Milad Farazmehr, Abolfazl Shahrjerdi and Ali Zand won the first place of their group and reached the final.

Women’s kata

The Iranian team with the combination of Najmeh Ghazizadeh, Elnaz Taghipour and Shadi Jafarzadeh reached the classification match by being in the second place of the group.

Men’s Committee

Negative 55 kg, “Pouria Aghdasi” in the first game, while being 2-1 behind, defeated “Sultan Al-Mutari” from Kuwait. Aqdasi also defeated Jordan 3-0 in the second round. In the third match, the Iranian national team lost 2-0 to Kazakhstan’s Andriy Aktavaz and was classified according to the opponent’s promotion to the final.

Negative 60 kg, “Ali Meskini” defeated “Badr Al-Watai” from Saudi Arabia, “Sanker Hari” from Malaysia and “Rafael Akbarov” from Kazakhstan and reached the final match to win the gold medal against “Abdullah Hamed” from Jordan to go.

Negative 67 kg, “Seyed Ali Karimi” defeated Thailand and Chinese Taipei, and then lost to a Kazakh opponent with a bitter taste of two to one and was eliminated.

Negative weight of 75 kg, “Ali Asghar Asiabri” defeated Kuwait and Indonesia and then lost to “Yosi Yama” from Japan 4: 2. Mill will compete against an opponent from Vietnam to win a bronze medal.

Negative 84 kg, “Zabihullah Pourshib”, the proud captain of Iran, won over the representatives of South Korea, Palestine and Saudi Arabia and reached the final. He will compete for the gold medal with Rikito Shimada from Japan.

In the positive weight of 84 kg, “Saleh Abazari” defeated the opponents of Cambodia, Iraq and the UAE and reached the final with authority. He goes on the tatami with “Tariq Hamed” from Saudi Arabia to win the gold medal.

Women’s Committee

Weighing in at 50kg, Sara Bahmanyar first defeated Indonesia and then Kazakhstan to advance to the qualifiers to face bronze medalist Shuang Xiao of Chinese Taipei.

Negative weight of 55 kg, “Taravat Khaksar” lost to Vietnam in the first round. Due to the small number of participants in this weight class, Khaksar qualified for one game and one loss to face Sabina Zakurova of Kazakhstan.

In the negative weight of 61 kg, “Rozita Alipour” in the first round against “Sarah Al-Amiri” from the UAE faced a heavy defeat of 5: 0, and then defeated “Maya Suzuki” from Japan by 4: 0 and advanced to the classification.

Negative weight 68 kg; Mobina Heydari reached the final with three consecutive victories against Hong Kong, Kazakhstan and the UAE. Heydari will face “Kayo Sumia” from Japan in the final fight.

Weighing in at 68kg, Leila Borjali defeated karatekas from India and Indonesia and then lost 10-4 to Sofia Brutsova of Kazakhstan to advance to the rankings.

Classification matches until another hour and the final competitions of different sections will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).

The men’s and women’s team committee competitions are also being held now, and Iranian karate men and women have competed against their opponents.

The Iranian karate caravan has been at the top of the medal table with 13 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals at the Asian Championships so far, and will most likely win the championship.
