Folding iPhone will not be introduced any time soon

According to a market source, Apple is testing several prototypes for its clamshell iPhone, but the actual release of the device is likely to happen in a few years, as there are concerns about the use of a clamshell display.

According to a reputable market source named “dylandktOn Twitter, Apple is working on several prototypes with a foldable display and apparently still struggling with a lot of problems. Apple Concerns About Folding iPhone

Apparently, before launching this device, Apple intends to make sure that the folding design is not a setback compared to the current form of iPhones, and to ensure the life and quality of these screens. To that end, the tech giant is closely monitoring the mobile and clamshell market to correct the mistakes of other competitors, including Huawei and Samsung, in its prototypes.

The Koreans, which launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 this year, are the world’s top clamshell makers, and Huawei recently launched the P50 clamshell and plans to launch the Mate V as well. .

Other well-known market analysts, including Apple product analyst Ming-Chi Koo, reported earlier this year that the clamshell iPhone with an 8-inch OLED display will likely not hit the market until 2023 or 2024. Display market analyst Ross Yang also confirmed the claim, even reporting on a possible unveiling in 2024.

DylanDKT also reported that Apple would remove the top notch on the iPhone 14 Pro and Max Pro and move the Face ID system below the screen.
