Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan’s telephone conversation


Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi spoke by telephone about the implementation of the agreement reached during a meeting between Uzbek President Shaukat Mirziyoyev and Imran Khan, Fars News Agency reported in Tashkent. The Prime Minister of Pakistan was inspected on February 5 in Beijing.

The two sides also discussed how and prospects for the expansion of Uzbek-Pakistani strategic cooperation in the political, diplomatic, economic, trade, investment and cultural fields.

The two sides also reviewed the latest situation in the region and stressed the need to increase bilateral and regional cooperation.

The foreign ministers also discussed plans for upcoming high-level ceremonies.

Qureshi and Kamelov also had a telephone conversation on January 31.

According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, Pakistan recognized its independence on December 22, 1991, and on May 10, 1992, diplomatic relations were established between the two countries.
