Gholam-Ali Hatem, professor of art history, has died

According to Fars News Agency’s visual correspondent, Gholam Ali Hatam, a professor of art history and a retired faculty member of the University of Arts, died today at the age of 81 after a period of illness.

Surah University Vice Chancellor for Research has confirmed this news.

In addition to his many brilliant scientific backgrounds, Zandiyad Hatem was also a member of the editorial board of Sura, Rud, Performing Arts, Rahpooyeh and Nagreh magazines.

He was a member of the Promotion Committee of the Faculty of Arts, a member of the Department and the Specialized Council for Advanced Art Studies, and a judge of dozens of postgraduate and doctoral dissertations.
