Yakhchali pointed to the return match and said: “Undoubtedly, a harder game awaits us in Manama because they are the hosts and the hosting conditions are not ineffective.” In the return match, the American players will also arrive in Bahrain and this team will be strengthened against Iran. But we are also Iran and we are going to win.

It is worth mentioning that the Iranian national basketball team defeated Bahrain 82-66 in a home match in the first window of the 2023 World Cup and started its work with a victory. Our national basketball team on the way to the 2023 World Cup and in the first selection window must hold its return match against Bahrain on December 29 in Manama. In the next step, the Iranian national basketball team will host Kazakhstan on Tuesday, March 26, and will host Syria on the eighth day of the same month in the Azadi Basketball Complex.

Mustafa Hashemi’s students will face Kazakhstan and Syria away on July 10th and 13th, respectively. At the end of the first round of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers, which include the first, second and third windows, the top three teams in each group will advance to the second round of qualifiers, which includes the fourth to sixth windows.

Accordingly, 12 teams from the Asia-Pacific region will advance to the second qualifying round of the 2023 World Cup.
