Grossi expresses hope for resolving issues of Iran’s nuclear program – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr News Agency, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), expressed hope for resolving the emergency issues related to Iran’s nuclear program in his opening remarks at the 65th annual meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Monday.

Referring to the Iranian nuclear issue, Grossi claimed: “We have important business with the Islamic Republic of Iran.” Important approvals must be provided.

Referring to his recent visit to Tehran, he continued: “We (the Agency and Iran) decided to work together to find a solution.” We are going to continue this process. I hope to go to Tehran soon to address these pressing issues.

Grossi added that addressing these issues provides the world with the necessary guarantees that there is no need to worry about Iran’s nuclear program.

He stressed that these guarantees also pave the way for other diplomatic efforts that are needed to achieve a satisfactory situation on the Iranian nuclear issue.

The 65th Annual Meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) kicked off in Vienna with representatives, ambassadors and senior officials from 171 countries. They are present at this meeting.
