According to Fars News Agency International Group, military sources affiliated with the resigned Yemeni government reported that a large number of their leaders were killed around the strategic city of Ma’rib.

The men were killed and wounded in clashes with Yemeni army forces and popular committees, the sources said.

According to these sources, among the killed are dozens of military commanders, the most important of whom are “Awad Nakir”, the leader of the Al-Islah party in the city of “Al-Abdiyah”, “Ahmad Muhammad Al-Sabeti”, the mayor appointed by the resigned government in Al-Abdiyah. , “Abdul Rahman Al-Shadadi” the commander of the 159th Division and “Nasser Saleh Al-Shadadi” the commander of the 159th Division mentioned.

Yemeni sources, meanwhile, report the advance of army forces and popular committees around Ma’rib, stressing that Sanaa forces will soon take full control of the oil-rich province.

On the 20th of this month, the Yemeni army and popular committees succeeded in taking control of the important and strategic city of Al-Juba in Ma’rib province.

After the Yemeni army took control of the city center and surrounding areas, the mercenaries of the resigned and reformed government fled. With the liberation of al-Juba, a new route was opened to the city of Ma’rib to complete the siege of the center of this oil-rich province from the south.
