Holding Shab-e Cheleh Festival in the cities of East Azerbaijan

Arya Heritage Report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of East Azerbaijan, Ahmad Hamzehzadeh, while announcing this news on Wednesday, December 15, 2014, said: “In order to protect the valuable ritual of Shab-e Cheleh, according to previous years, special festivals of this traditional ritual will be held simultaneously in the cities of the province.”

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of East Azerbaijan continued: “In this regard, the second Shab-e Cheleh Festival of Kalibar city will be held on December 16 of this year in Shah Abbasi Caravanserai from 18:00 to 21:00.”

He added: “Also, on the occasion of this ritual day, an exhibition of handicrafts for Shab-e Cheleh will be held in the exhibition hall of the Culture and Guidance Office of Marand city from December 16 to 20 this year.”

Hamzehzadeh stated: “In this regard, the second Shab-e Cheleh festival with the focus on cooking local food, table setting and fruit decoration and traditional clothes of Shabestar city will be held on Thursday, December 16 at Dizaj Khalil Stadium. All those interested in participating in this festival can go to “Refer to the mentioned cities.”
