According to Mehr News Agency, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein told Al Jazeera: “Iraq’s problems with Iran and Turkey over security issues should be resolved through dialogue.”

He added: “The Iranian delegation will travel to Iraq after Eid al-Fitr to study some issues, especially security.”

Referring to the Turkish attacks on northern Iraq, Fouad Hussein stressed: “The reasons given by the Turkish side are not enough to use force inside our territories.”

The Iraqi foreign minister stressed that the presence of American advisers in Iraq is aimed at assisting Iraqi forces and with the consent of the Iraqi government.

He also clarified about the effects of the Ukrainian war against Iraq: Iraq has been affected by the Ukrainian war and the Iraqi Minister of Commerce says that the wheat reserves are only enough for two months.

Fouad Hussein also stressed about the political stalemate in this country: The political stalemate and obstruction regarding the election of the president and the formation of the government continues and has not been resolved yet.

Regarding the Iran-Saudi talks in Baghdad, he said: “The recent meeting between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Baghdad was a security meeting with the presence of high-ranking officials.” The two sides agreed on a 10-point memorandum of understanding. The next round of talks was agreed at the diplomatic level. The issue of continuing the ceasefire in Yemen was also discussed during the meeting.
