Increasing the concentration of pollutants in the air of the capital

According to Moj News Agency, in the next four days, the sky of Tehran province will be clear to slightly cloudy, sometimes with wind, and in the afternoon in the western and southern parts of the province, there is a possibility of wind and rising.

According to the announcement of the General Administration Meteorology of Tehran province On Thursdays and Fridays (October 1st and 2nd), strong winds are sometimes expected in the highlands of the province.

Predictions made in the control company Air quality in Tehran It is indicated that this morning (September 20), along with the increase in morning traffic in some busy areas, the air quality will be in the unhealthy range for sensitive groups, which is due to the stability of the atmosphere and the accumulation of pollutants during the past hours.

The atmosphere is relatively calm during the day pollutants In addition, with the presence of sufficient factors to produce ozone pollutants in some areas, there is a possibility of increasing the concentration of this pollutant in the afternoon and reducing air quality.

Lack of effective winds and increased vehicle traffic by the end of today (September 20) will increase the concentration of suspended particles, and as a result, reducing air quality in high-traffic areas will not be unexpected.

Increasing wind speed until the morning of Wednesday (September 21) will cause scattering and decrease the concentration of suspended particles, and in most areas the air quality will be acceptable.

Continuation of these weather conditions during the day will prevent the accumulation of pollutants, although there may be an increase in the concentration of ozone and a decrease in air quality in some areas.

Atmospheric instability and effective winds will continue until the end of Wednesday (September 21), which will cause the spread of pollutants and, consequently, an acceptable situation is predicted in most areas.

The pollutant of the capital air index during the last 24 hours was suspended particles less than 2.5 microns with an average of 91 and the air quality of the capital was in an acceptable condition. Indicator pollutants are currently particulate matter less than 2.5 microns with an average of 95 and air quality in the acceptable range.
