International karate competitions started in Kermanshah



“These competitions will be held with the participation of about a thousand athletes from Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen and Egypt,” Saeed Nasrollahi told IRNA on Thursday.

He said that the FSK Shotokan International Karate Competition will be held in two sections for men and women, adding: “Today’s women’s competitions and the men’s section will be held tomorrow (Friday).”

Nasrollahi stated that these competitions are held in four age categories: teenagers, youth, hope and adults, and specified: Imam (RA) Sports Complex is the venue for international karate competitions.

The head of the Kermanshah Karate Board continued: “Hosting such competitions will definitely help improve the karate level of the province, and our athletes will gain new experiences.”

He also stressed that these competitions are held in full compliance with health protocols, saying: injection of at least 2 doses of vaccine and negative corona test are the requirements for athletes to participate in these competitions.

In Kermanshah, more than a thousand karatekas operate under the supervision of the provincial karate board.
