It is possible to install apps outside the App Store on the iPhone

As new technology laws come into force in the European Union in the coming weeks, Apple is preparing to allow users to download apps from sources outside the App Store.

According to Aetna from Mehr, the company has not released any information about this download method, but it seems that it will not allow developers to bypass the Apple Commission and app review rules.

The Wall Street Journal reported in a report that the owner of the App Store has decided to charge developers who offer downloads outside of the App Store to users and is still investigating apps that are not downloaded through its store. Of course, this feature is only implemented for iOS users in the European Union in order to comply with the Digital Markets Act of this region.

Although the report mentions that this Apple program has not been finalized, this strategy is consistent with other changes made by the company in the App Store policies in the United States. Last week, Apple officially changed its rules for US developers to bypass Apple’s in-app purchases and payment system.
