Launch of the new MacBook Air until the second half of 2022

Apple is preparing to release a new version of its MacBook Air later this year. The new MacBook Air will potentially have an updated design with narrower bezels alongside upgraded internal components. While rumors of a release date for the device have been conflicting so far, a new report indicates that the new MacBook Air is set to launch in the second half of 2022.

We have to wait for the new MacBook Air until the second half of 2022

New report by website DigiTimes Released shows that Apple will launch the new MacBook Air in the second half of 2022. This new report is in line with the time frame shared by Mark Gorman earlier this month. The report states:

Our sources point out that the Apple MacBook series is a high-end device, but it can also be considered a business notebook model, as it is popular with many companies or office workers. In the first quarter of 2022, with higher-than-expected shipments, the new MacBook Air, which launches in the second half of the year, is expected to accelerate sales.

According to Ross Young, the next MacBook Air is expected to have a slightly larger screen of 13.6 inches compared to the current 13.3 model. In addition, it is rumored that the MacBook Air will have an M2 chip with an 8-core CPU and 9- and 10-core GPUs. While the number of CPU cores is the same, its speed and performance are improved. Ming Chi Koo said that the new MacBook Air will have an upgraded M1 chip, but more details have not been shared yet.

The new MacBook Air is expected to have a completely new design with more color options than ever before. It is also speculated that the MacBook Air will not have a Mini LED display because Apple intends to keep its price as low as possible.
