Long summer of Iranian volleyball in the busy year of 1401 – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news
The World Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) have announced that the 2022 tournament schedule includes 17 indoor volleyball events, with the schedule scheduled for a busy year, especially in the summer. Will compete for Iranian volleyball and our country’s representatives will participate in 13 matches from 17 volleyball events in the world and will fight with their rivals, which will be eight of the 13 mentioned events in the summer of 1401.
The 2022 competitions for Iranian volleyball will start with the Asian Women’s Clubs Championship hosted by Thailand from 11 to 18 May next year and will end with the participation of the Iranian national team in the 2022 Asian Games (19 September to 3 September 1401).
The 2022 Men’s World Cup in Russia, the League of Nations Men’s Volleyball and the Chinese Asian Games are the three most important events for Iran’s senior national team next year.
Also, the Asian Youth Volleyball Championship is another event facing Iranian volleyball in both men’s and women’s groups. These competitions were not held in 2020 due to the corona outbreak, and the Asian continent will see the resumption of these competitions in 2022.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will also host two volleyball events in 2022, the Asian Boys’ Championship will be hosted by Isfahan and the Asian Men’s Clubs Championship will be held in Urmia. Adequate participation in these competitions and winning the world quota is one of the goals of Iranian volleyball in 2022.
The Asian Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Confederation Cup and the Asian Women’s Clubs Championship are other events facing Iranian volleyball next year.
According to the request of several countries to participate in the Asian Men’s and Women’s Championships, in 2022, the Asian Nations League will be held to select a number of teams, and the Iranian men’s and women’s national teams will not participate in these competitions and according to the Asian rankings. They will participate in the final stage of the Old Continent Championship.
