Low acceptance of the housing leap plan compared to national housing

According to Tejarat News, the latest enrollment statistics for the housing production and supply leap units (National Housing Movement) show that 886,354 people have registered. About 2.5 million people applied for national housing in five stages. Of this number, according to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, only 534 thousand people were recognized as eligible.

Demand for housing boom units has not yet reached one million in 19 days, with the government building a capacity of four million units for the project.

The exact reason for the low turnout in the National Housing Movement units is not yet fully understood, but it is likely that the removal of some people in the National Housing who did not qualify for the five conditions prevented applicants from registering for the new project. This is while the registration started on 28 October 1400 and there are still 11 days left that will continue until 28 October.

Another reason for the low demand can be related to the amount of installments of this plan. According to Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, facilities from 200 to 450 million Tomans have been provided for the units of the National Housing Movement. Calculations show that according to the 20-year repayment of these loans, the amount of installments will be between three to seven million tomans. Of course, some time ago, Iqbal Shakeri, a member of parliament, announced the amount of installments between three million and 750 thousand tomans to five million tomans.

The target population was the housing leap units, workers, and the lower deciles of society, and national housing was designed for the middle class. However, paying installments of three to seven million tomans cannot be afforded by the lower deciles.

Of course, despite the fact that 534 thousand units of national housing action have been implemented and according to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, this number has physical progress, until November 29, 1400, the number of people who have paid for these houses is 237 thousand, which shows 56% of applicants did not pay; Of course, some projects related to government agencies have probably reached the initial stages of construction with the help of banking facilities.
