Mahvash Sabrakan: People are thirsty for old series / The actor should not be afraid to play different roles

Sabrkan says about his presence in the series “Veteran Rider” that people still love and welcome such plays. He also believes that despite the masculinity of the “Old Rider” series, women have been influential enough in this series and have not been marginalized. ** Ms. Saberkan 24 years have passed since the first broadcast of the “Veteran Rider” series. How was the reception of the series at that time?

-very good. People loved the series and really welcomed it. I think they are thirsty for such stories right now and they will still welcome serials like “Veteran Rider”. Even every time this series has been rebroadcast, I have received a lot of good feedback and comments from the audience, and this shows that “Veteran Rider” is still attractive to viewers.

** Were you still in Shiraz when you played the series “Kohneh Savar”?

– No, we have been living in Tehran for several years.

** In this series, you played with your wife, Mr. Pak Niat, although not in the role of a couple, but in any case, “Veteran Rider” was a joint project. How was the experience of playing with your spouse in a series?

-Yes. I played the role of Mr. Zehtab’s wife and the role of Mr. Pak Niat’s wife was played by Nadia Deldar Golchin. It was a pleasant experience and it seemed interesting to us as well.

** “Veteran Rider” is a male series and its main roles are played by male actors. How do you evaluate the presence and influence of female actors in this series?

Anyway, every hero and well-known figure, whether in sports or in other fields, comes from the same family. There was a mother in that family who grew up in that lap and was influenced by her upbringing and education. The basis of life is the family, and women play a key role in the family. Unless a woman tries a house, its people will not get anywhere. For this reason, although men have the main roles in the series “Veteran Rider”, it can not be said that women are on the margins and do not have the necessary influence. In my opinion, women also play a role in this series as much as they do and as much as they should and maybe.

** How much do you like your role in the series and what is the role of this role in your acting career?

– I was in the theater and we had just arrived in Tehran to play the series “Veteran Rider”. From this perspective, playing in this series is very valuable to me. On the other hand, actors who have worked in theater are not afraid to play different roles and usually do the role for themselves. I liked my role in the series and I think it was a good resume for me.

** What was it like working with Khajoui people?

– Mr. Pakniat had previously worked with Mr. Khajoui in the series “Patriarch” and was very satisfied. Mr. Khajoui was a very calm and good man. They really did dominate the work and, as the saying goes, they were carbald. Unfortunately, I did not have time to make more series and they went to God’s mercy. I personally was very satisfied with working with them and our cooperation continued after the series “Veteran”.

** The veteran series is still popular after more than two decades and has its own viewers. What do you know about the strengths of this series?

-People still love this series. There were very good actors in this series, and watching their play is memorable for people and brings back memories of the past. I also have very good memories of playing with actors like the living memory of Hamideh Khairabadi, especially the episodes of the series that were filmed in the north of the country.

** Are you listening to the movie verse?

– Yes, I like iFilm very much, especially the old and memorable series. I see that people are also following the series of this network. IFilm rebroadcasts series that people like, and that’s very important. Other networks devote a certain amount of time to airing the series, but iFilm has broken that rule. IFilm re-broadcasts good series to the public. Such series are very interesting for today’s youth, and iFilm creates a kind of culture by replaying these works.

** What are you doing these days and what are you doing?

– I’m not home at the moment.
