Massive hacker attack on Electronic Arts

Electronic Arts has apparently been attacked for data breach. The hackers responsible for the attack also stole the source code of the FIFA 21 game engine company along with other game development tools. The hackers also reportedly sell the source code of the company’s Frostbite game engine.

Thieves are selling huge amounts of information obtained from Electronic Arts in illegal chat forums. It is said that the amount of data reaches 780 GB. In addition to the FIFA 21 source code, the Frostbite engine source code can also be seen in the screenshots. Hackers have claimed to have stolen some of the company’s other proprietary development tools and are now trying to sell them.

But Electronic Arts said the company was fully aware of the leaked information and the activities of the hackers and knew what information had been stolen from the company’s servers. A company spokesman said the leaked information did not include the details of the company’s users and gamers, and that Electronic Arts had already taken the necessary security measures to prevent the information from being leaked.

In the world of programming and copyright, source codes are vital and important information, and therefore their illegal disclosure and publication is an important and critical event. In addition to damaging a company’s reputation, this allows hackers to crack EA games or create proprietary cheat codes for them. Also, using these codes, you can find out the contents of the games and important details of how they are produced.
