Massoud Sepehr commemoration ceremony will be held


According to Fars news agency, Masoud Sepehr was one of the renowned professors and pioneers of contemporary graphic design in Iran, who has lasting works in his 5-decade career. Among the most famous works designed in Masoud Sepehr’s design office; The collection of pictograms (visual signs and symbols) and guide signs of Tehran Metro and font design (Persian font) are the same.
Massoud Sepehr’s commemoration ceremony will be held at 17:00 on Friday, March 12, at Jalil Shahnaz hall of artists’ house. In this event, some of Iran’s graphic veterans, colleagues and friends of Professor Sepehr will give a speech. Along with this ceremony, part of the works of this pioneering graphic designer will also be opened in the summer gallery of Iran’s artists’ house, and this exhibition will be held until March 19.

Masoud Sepehar was born in Tehran in 1335 and graduated from the London College of Printing in 1356 and has a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, typography and print planning.

Masoud Sepehr obtained his master’s degree in this field in 1351. Kurd also has a professional doctorate degree from the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education and since 1372 he has followed additional training from the Apple Paris training center.

Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Graphic Designers Guild of Iran, graphic designer of Peter Hatch London Design Company, lecturer at Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts, member of the three-member working group for developing courses and visual revision of communication course units of the country’s universities, teaching in universities and higher education institutions in Tehran and One hundred and eighty signs and written names for institutions, companies and products are part of the artistic activities of this late artist.

Masoud Sepehr left the graphic design community of Iran on 9th of Bahman 1401 at the age of 66 and traveled to the other side.
