According to IRNA, the tournament, which was the national team selection, was held in Tehran for four days (2 days for women and 2 days for men) in memory of the martyred Sardar “Seyed Mohammad Hejazi”.
In the end, Mazandaran team won 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals and won the national championship in 2 sections for girls and boys.
Tehran became the runner-up with 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals and Qom team won the third title with 2 gold and 1 bronze medal.
The winners of these competitions were allowed to participate in the main selection of the men’s and women’s national teams.
Next year, Iran’s national karate teams will face three Asian Championships in Uzbekistan, the Islamic Games in Turkey and the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
