Meet the 480Hz AUO monitor
At SID Display Week 2022, various companies unveiled their display technologies. Meanwhile, AUO, like other manufacturers, unveiled its latest monitor with an extremely high refresh rate of 480 Hz for PCs and laptops. Stay tuned to Lyon Tak.
According to the ComputerBase website, the new AUO product will be a 24-inch monitor with a TN panel that supports a 480Hz refresh rate. Also, another model of this 16-inch display with the same update rate is to be used in future laptops.
Meet the 480Hz AUO monitor
Both 24 and 16-inch displays have 1080p resolution and a response time of 1 millisecond. As mentioned, AUO used the TN panel to build this monitor to achieve the highest update rate. Currently, many companies are focusing on the development of IPS, VA and OLED monitors and now use a small number of TN panels in their products.
However, TN panel technology can bring a higher update rate (along with a lower update rate) for the manufacturer and the user. It should be noted that AUO has not yet released any specifications or other information about this monitor and no explanation has been given regarding its release time.
