Microsoft support for Office 2013 ends



The software giant announced that Office 2013 will reach the official end of the company’s support period within the next 12 months, after which it will not receive security updates and support from Microsoft.

According to ISNA, Microsoft Office 2013 users are now called to upgrade or switch their software before April 11, 2023, otherwise they will be at risk of cyber attacks.

Microsoft announced in an email to its customers: After five years of public support and five years of extended support, Office 2013 will reach the end of support on April 11, 2023, and according to the fixed life policy, after this date security updates for Office 2013 They will no longer exist. Microsoft has suggested that users replace Office 365 with Microsoft Office 365, a subscription-based model. This shared package provides the main applications for enterprise users and offers security updates and patches.

According to Tech Radar website, Office 2013 is the latest major Microsoft product that is nearing the end of its life. One of the most popular Microsoft products was Windows XP, which retired in 2014, however, Microsoft provided some support for users of this old software.
