Middle East News: Iraqi Foreign Minister to visit Iran on Wednesday – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr News Agency, Middle East News claimed that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein will travel to Tehran on Wednesday.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein will travel to Iran with a high-level delegation, along with National Security Adviser Qassim al-Araji, and Ahmed Bourghif, head of the Iraqi Interior Ministry’s intelligence service, the news site reported.

Middle East News also added that this is the first visit of an Iraqi delegation to Iran after the Revolutionary Guards missile attack on the Israeli spy centers in Erbil, Iraq.

The news site added that bilateral issues will be discussed during the visit.

This news has not been confirmed by Iraqi officials.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh told reporters on Monday that in a telephone conversation last week, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had invited his Iraqi counterpart to Tehran to travel to Tehran. He also accepted the invitation.
