According to Tasnim news agency, the Lebanese national football team will host Iran in the framework of the final stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Group A of the Asian continent from 15:30 today (Thursday).
“We all hope to celebrate the victory in the game against Iran by joining the Lebanese players,” said Lebanese Sports Minister George Klass after attending the camp of his country’s national football team.
Hashem Haidar, President of the Lebanese Football Federation, also stated: “We are determined to show the capability that we had assured.” We hope to repeat the celebration of the victory we had against Syria last month in the game against Iran.
In the Group A standings, Iran is leading the final stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Asia with 10 points. South Korea (eight points), Lebanon (five points), UAE (three points), Iraq (three points) and Syria (one point) are also ranked second to sixth in the table.
