Mirasmaili: They have a personal enmity with judo

According to IRNA; “Arash Mirasmaili” In a radio interview about holding the Grand Prix, he said: “Although we are involved in international issues, we tried to revive Iranian judo by holding national competitions and awarding cash prizes.” These competitions were held simultaneously with the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sardar Soleimani and with various plans.

Referring to the valuable prizes of these competitions, he added: we considered 10 million Tomans for the first person, 5 million Tomans for the second person and 2 million Tomans for the third person, and we even awarded prizes to the fifth person. We allocated 10% of these awards to personal trainers of athletes.

Mirasmaili described his assessment of the technical and quality level of the competition as follows: All athletes participated in this competition with all their potential. Especially in weightlifting where we had good fights. Due to the cash prizes, we saw good competitions. We left all the participants free because in the championship of our country, a limited number, ie one person from each province in each weight could participate, but in these competitions, maybe several people from each province participated in each weight. Considering that we are facing the national and league championships in February, these matches were very well prepared for those matches.

In response to the question that holding such competitions with this investment also has a good outcome for the senior national team, he said: “Considering that the children also lost international competitions, such competitions are an encouragement and motivation for them.” We also designed a competition called “Beach Judo” with a prize of one thousand dollars for the first person. We will also have the Persian Gulf Cup on the beaches of Bushehr and the country’s adult championships in the form of cash prizes. In general, the federation strives to motivate judo players and to be able to support athletes financially.

The president of the Judo Federation pointed out the results of the sports arbitration court regarding the suspension of this discipline: We are waiting for this verdict to be issued. The announcement was extended for two months, and I think it will be renewed for the next three weeks. Iranian judo needs support. Unfortunately, during this period, we witnessed a lack of cooperation in the National Olympic Committee, and these pains are the heartache of all of us. When this happened and the country’s judo was excluded from international competitions for defending the values of the Islamic Republic’s sacred system, the National Committee launched a personal feud. Maybe he paid 100% of the budget of all the federations and unfortunately he did not pay 50% of our budget. The National Olympic Committee has a duty to help us.

He concluded: “The Supreme Leader put a lot of emphasis on supporting athletes, but we did not see that support from the National Committee.” We are told why we should give you 50% of the budget because you are suspended. Last week, I saw an unfortunate interview with the head of the National Olympic Committee, and I hope that this committee will answer these questions. I call on the authorities to give special support to Iranian judo.
