“Mohammad Reza Karimi, a teacher and tonbak musician, born in 1943, was employed by the General Directorate of Culture and Arts on June 22, 1973. He was a member of the music group of the General Directorate of Culture and Art of Lorestan Islamic Culture and Guidance and a teacher of Tonbak.

His tonbak sound remained on the cassette tapes of “Savar”, “Sefidkooh”, “Yafteh”, “Koch”, “Arezoo”, “Ayneh Ashk”, “Sofre Del”, “Nasim Del”, and “Hamdang”. He has received numerous awards at prominent music festivals and events.

In 1350, this artist learned to sing and play the drums professionally with the late Professor Hossein Tehrani. His first work entitled “Beautiful Eyes” was recorded on screen in Tehran with the live voice of “Reza Saghaei”, the legendary singer of Lorestan.

He collaborated with the musicians of the late Hossein Salem, Ramin Darbandi, Mansour Salem, Firooz Goodarzi, Sadegh Seif, Faraj Alipour and with prominent national professors such as the late Professor Mohammad Reza Lotfi, Hossein Alizadeh and the Kamkars.
