Museum of Associate Members of the Academy of Arts Opens / Live commemoration of Manouchehr Tayab


According to Fars News Agency, the commemoration of Manouchehr Tayab will be held at the Academy of Arts on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, with the unveiling of the memoir of this late professor.

The ceremony will be held with speeches by Bahman Namvar Motlagh, President of the Academy of Arts, Alireza Ghasemkhan, Scientific Secretary, Mohammad Reza Aslani, writer and filmmaker, and Ahmad Zabeti, Jahromi, writer and documentary filmmaker. Shahram Derakhshan will also be in charge of implementing this program.

This program will be accompanied by the unveiling of Manouchehr Tayab’s memoir, the opening of the “Museum of the Online Members of the Academy of Arts”, visiting the books donated by Professor Tayab to the specialized library of this academy and the screening of the documentary “About Master Tayab”.

This ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 1400, from 2:00 PM, in accordance with the hygienic rules, in the Iran Hall of the Academy of Arts, located on Valiasr Street, below the Taleghani intersection, No. 1552. Manouchehr Tayab was born in Tehran in 1316 and studied at the Alborz School. The Vienna show graduated. He made his first film called “Pottery” in 1342 and the following year his film “Rhythm” was considered by UNESCO. Since then, he has made more than ninety documentaries and educational films that are still in the spotlight. His only feature film was “Needleman”.

Manouchehr Tayab died on September 25, 2016, at the age of 83, of cancer in a hospital in Vienna and was buried there.
